Mike Hayes from Tyndall shows the COMPOSITION acoustic emissions condition monitoring system to Ed Massey (PSMA member and power electronics consultant, USA) and Marcus Taylor, CEO of Silent Sensor Systems (UK). The wireless sensor system is deployed at Boston Scientific Ltd. in Clonmel, Ireland, to enable predictive maintenance of reflow oven fans. APEC is the world’s largest annual power electronics conference attracting 6,000 attendees. At the March conference in Anaheim, California, Mike hosted an industry session on ‘Power IoT’ solutions which also featured demonstrations of real life industry applications of IoT devices.
