A Connected Smart Factories Workshop was organised alongside the IEEE-IS 2018 conference in Madeira in September 2018. The workshop brought together industrial representatives from the digital manufacturing and IoT domains, along with researchers from the areas of smart manufacturing, enterprise information systems, IoT, cloud computing, big data, standardisation, process engineering, business modelling and FIWARE.
The workshop was supported by four projects funded by the European Union: COMPOSITION, DIGICOR, NIMBLE and vf-OS.
