The next CARV conference will be held in Nantes, France, from 8 to 10 October 2018. The conference addresses Changeable, Agile, Reconfigurable and Virtual Production, and topics include Manufacturing systems, Smart production, Globalization and sustainability and Knowledge-based production management. COMPOSITION project representatives will speak about ”Data analysis and visualization framework in the manufacturing decision support system of the COMPOSITION project”. ”In this paper, we put particular focus on the incorporation of data analytics tools with the Manufacturing Decision Support System (MDSS), as well as their connection with a smart Building Management System and Digital Factory Modelling techniques for data propagation” says Dr. Thanasis Vafeiadis from project partner CERTH/ITI. ”We show how state-of-the-art techniques and methodologies from the research fields of big data analytics, deep learning and simulation/forecasting are incorporated into the MDSS, and how the system is designed to accommodate the data-driven needs of a manufacturing environment.”
