Following the successful installation of sensors to be applied for the “Maintenance Decision Support” use case (vibrometers) and the “Scrap metal collection process and bidding process” use case (fill-level sensors), five additional fill-level sensors for the “Scrap Metal and Recyclable Waste Transportation” use case have been installed at the shopfloor at KLEEMANN. Iterative testing of the sensors has been successful, confirming fill-level measurements. Fill-level monitoring will help predict when the bins are full, facilitating timely pick-up and minimising handling of half-empty bins.
