On 5 and 6 February, EFFRA organised a dissemination event on digital platforms in manufacturing in association with the ConnectedFactories Coordination and Support Action. The event focused on results from the projects launched under the FoF-11-2016 call and on associated projects. It also provided an interesting insight in the upcoming calls ‘DT-ICT-07-2018-2019: Digital Manufacturing Platforms for Connected Smart Factories’. COMPOSITION was present both in the public and the closed sessions.

The COMPOSITION Coordinator, Dr. Marc Jentsch presented the first concrete results and cases of the project providing insights on predictive maintenance, smart sensors and notifications, as well as on the Agent-based Marketplace being developed.

Mr. Nicola Ciulli participated in the FoF-11 “Business Models” working group dedicated session “Value creation and business models in multi-sided markets for digital manufacturing” on 6 February. He presented examples of application of the e3value model to the working group, sharing the approach of the project in business modelling through the process of value creation.
