The consortium consists of 12 organisations from seven countries and constitutes a strong, multi-disciplinary team, mixing industrial, research, technology and business expertise.
Fraunhofer is the leading organisation of institutes of applied research and development in Europe. Fraunhofer FIT is the coordinator of COMPOSITION and will drive a user-centered design process for developing applications. Furthermore, FIT will be involved in the economical evaluation of business models, lead by the Project Group Business & Information Systems Engineering.
Boston Scientific is a leading medical device company with the manufacturing plant in Clonmel as one of the pilot sites in COMPOSITION. It will lead the development of industrial use cases and as such be involved in the engineering of requirements, business analysis and evaluation.
KLEEMANN operates in the manufacturing and the trading of complete lift systems. Apart from the contribution on use-case requirements and functional requirements in COMPOSITION, KLEEMANN will co-ordinate the industrial pilot studies and the evaluation of the overall framework.

CERTH is one of the largest research centre in Greece. The Information Technologies Institute (CERTH-ITI) is specialised in the area of informatics and telecommunications. CERTH-ITI is represented by Dr. D. Tzovaras (ITI Director) and will lead the manufacturing modelling, the simulation and the collaborative manufacturing services ontology.
ATLANTIS is an ICT SME, offering software (CMMS, DSS), consulting and training solutions for Maintenance and Asset Management, aiming at the support of daily production activities in factories. In the project they act as technology providers (DSS), end users (inter-factory pilot) and Dissemination Managers.
Istituto Superiore Mario Boella is a research and innovation centre located in Turin, operating in the ICT domain. ISMB works in close cooperation with companies, academia and public administration, playing an active role in devising innovative solutions and their implementation.
