Aggelos Papadopoulos from KLEEMANN was invited as an expert speaker at the conference which took place at Maroussi Plaza in Athens on 22nd February 2017.

The main theme of the conference was the current status, challenges and opportunities of the new era of manufacturing; Industry 4.0, also known as the smart factory in which physical production processes and systems are digitally managed and become an Internet of Things, communicating wirelessly with each other and with the operators.
Aggelos Papadopoulos provided a description of the COMPOSITION project along with other issues including supply chain management, lean manufacturing and maintenance management.
More specifically, he focused on the transition of industries to Industry 4.0 where integrated information management systems like the one developed by COMPOSITION will support this transformation and he also highlighted the important role of collaboration between research institutes and industry.
